The City of Dublin needed design improvements to optimize safety for all modes, accommodate large trucks, and meet long-range operational requirements for the intersection while minimizing adverse impacts to the existing and proposed adjacent properties.

Market St. & Canton Rd. Akron, OH
A safety study identified a roundabout as the preferred intersection type for the Canton Rd./Market St./Robindale Ave. intersection. MTJ was retained to evaluate and develop a preliminary and final roundabout design for this highly constrained and skewed intersection to ensure optimal safety for all modes.

The Village of Waunakee, WI, wanted to maintain a two-lane roadway through their historic downtown. Waunakee and WIDOT sought a solution to reduce congestion and improve safety and traffic flow at this existing signalized intersection. A feasibility study showed a flared two-lane entry roundabout would alleviate existing traffic delays and improve safety for all modes.
