Working with prime firm Gremmer & Associates, MTJ provided analysis and design for these highly constrained intersections. The roundabout at Pioneer Rd. and Hickory St. is a main arterial and has to accommodate oversized trucks/freight.

In 2005 MTJ began working with the developer’s traffic consultant to find an acceptable access solution for the proposed commercial development at USH 18 and STH 83, which was a signalized intersection at the time.

MTJ Roundabout Engineering was retained to evaluate the feasibility of a roundabout at this highly constrained intersection.

Three alternatives were developed to evaluate optimal size/shape and fit with acceptable impacts.

MTJ Roundabout Engineering provided the roundabout analysis, design, peer review for 30/60/90% plans, and public outreach support to WisDOT, as a sub-consultant to Westbrook Engineering. This challenging roundabout project includes high-speed approaches in a transitional/exurban setting.

MTJ Roundabout Engineering provided roundabout capacity analysis, design alternative development, and final horizontal design for this intersection for the City of Dublin as a sub-consultant to GPD Group. Some of the main requirements of the project included high approach speeds, ROW constraints, and large truck considerations.
