BACKGROUND
The City of Scottsdale was seeking a solution to the school traffic congestion and safety at the existing stop-controlled intersection adjacent to Anasazi Elementary School.

MTJ’s horizontal geometric designs for this intersection are predicated on traffic engineering and roundabout design principles and overall project objectives, include:
