Interstate 5 and Deschutes Road Roundabout
Anderson, CA
The Interstate 5 and Deschutes Road interchange is at the southern tip of the city of Anderson and serves a future planned retail, commercial, industrial and residential area. In response to large-scale development proposals, the MTJ/Omni-Means team provided the feasibility analysis and final construction plans for this very important entry to the community.
The feasibility analysis and design showed that applying high-capacity two- to three-lane entry roundabouts at the ramp intersections significantly reduced the required roadway widths, thereby avoiding expensive roadway and bridge work and saving more than $10 million in construction and ROW costs.
