MTJ Engineering delivered an innovative roundabout design to provide a business access

solution for this re-developed brown field shopping center. The business access, site circulation

and traffic operations provided by this roundabout design was key to the re-development of this

site. Mark Johnson, PE, of MTJ Engineering lead the roundabout educational public involvement

component for the presentations to the community, business owners and elected officials leading to

the implementation at this controversial urban site. This intersection carries a high number of

pedestrians, large trucks and vehicular traffic. This popular roundabout keeps traffic moving

safely in this high-traffic area and has improved its overall appearance.
